Nutrition is the Understanding of how our body works, what is needs and what it does not.It is , in fact, the philosophy of life itself, and not merely the knowledge of food-as is commonly understand

Nutrition covers the whole sphere of living i.e,food, all our basic needs (air,water,sunshine),our environment,activities, relationships, our attitudes and feelings. It is through nutrition that health and beautiful living can be achieved.

Our health and nutrition or life itself rests on the capacity to utilize energy - vital nerve energy. This energy physical, intellectual,  emotional and spiritual -, comes from the foods we eat , fresh air, sunshine, exercise , activity and mental poise. Life is a continuous flow of energy. feel and breathe deeply to glow!

These are our "fuels" (or nutrients) that the body utilises constantly to function smoothly and keep us healthy.

In our daily life , we need to become aware of these factors of nutrition.Are we adequately caring for our health? Are we adequately caring for our health ? Are we preserving and building our vital energy? Are we providing our body with enough fuel ? Is the exercise and activity in our life style sufficient ? Are we eating right ? Do we rest and sleep well ? Is there a feeling of joy about living ? Are we surrounded by fresh air and sunshine?

Never before have people been so concerned about being well nourished. Almost everybody knows about food and nutrients, and there appears to be enough information in books, magazines, news papers, television and radio about the subject.As a result , the knowledge that most people have about Nutrition is kind of half-baked , half-cooked mixture of facts, fallacies and fiction. Further , most of this barrage is commercially motivated.

In attempting to understand Nutrition from a natural viewpoint, we must put aside for the time being the role of vitamins and minerals,and other specific nutrients. We must consider the overall process by which the body attains nourishment.Nutrition thus, is not a sequence of chemical reactions but  a process  of life.

Strictly speaking, nutrition refers to the influences and processes by which each and every tiny cell of the body utilizes food or the components of food. As is normally accepted, nutrition is not the digestion or absorption,transportation, circulation, or metabolic changes that foods undergo. But it is only those selective actions by which the cells use the foodstuffs ( Oxidised for chemical energy to make and fortify the cell itself)  that can be considered nutritional.

All of those processes that precede this actual utilization of nutrients by the cells are therefore only a prelude to nutrition possible- to provide nutrients to the cells.

Nutrition ,in that sense , take place at the cellular level.Nutrition begins only when the body begins to drive real use from the food that is eaten or put another way, "it results from the diffusion and active transportation of nutrients from the tissue fluid that bathes the cells into the cellular protoplasm". All this while , there has only been a preparation for the food to be accepted at the cellular level.All the transporting are almost like physiological preparation for the food .

The only task before us, then ,is not just to provide nutrients but to do so in a manner that is gentle.That maximizes our own organic efficiency , thereby increasing and promoting the utilisation of food.

Nutrition is thereby not a long list of nutrients. It is not an ingestion of complex minerals and nutrients that are coaxed into the body. It is not concentrated supplements , and it is certainly not extracted minerals or booster pills.

The only nutrition that is required is that which is genetically patterned for the cell. Only fruits , vegetables and nuts provide theses nutrients.
